JOHN B. WILSON

John B. Wilson, a farmer of Madison County, Mo., was born in Tennessee in 1832, and is the son of Jacob and Jemima Wilson. The father was a farmer by occupation. He came to Missouri and located in Reynold County, where he was killed at the beginning of the late war by robbers, it was supposed for what money he had in his possession. John B. Wilson came to Missouri with his father, and his boyhood days were spent on his father's farm. November 16, 1855, he united his fortunes with that of Miss Emeline Copeland, who was born in Tennessee in 1833. She became the mother of nine children, eight of whom are living: George M., Mary A. (wife of A. C. Holder), Jennie G. (wife of J. T. Tharp), Belle T. (wife of Edward A. Howell), Katie C. (wife of Lewis Burch), Sarah J., Eva and Ida. Mr. Wilson is the owner of 240 acres of land, and in his political views he advocates the principles of the Democratic party. His son, George M., was married in 1877 to Miss Parazida Richmond, and is the father of the following family: Effie, Maude, Sidney, Elsie and Homer E. Mary A. (wife of A. C. Holder) is the mother of two children: John M. and Hurburt M.
