Virgil Arnold - Rites Jan.1
Virgil Sylvester Arnold of Fredericktown died Dec. 29, 1984 at Stockhoff Nursing Home, Mr. Arnold, 
a retired farmer, was 82.

Chapel services were held Tuesday, Jan.1, at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Eye 
officiating. Burial was in Sebastian Cemetery.  Grandchildren served as pallbearers.

Mr. Arnold was born Jan 3, 1902 in Knob Lick to the late George and Francis (Inman) Arnold.  
He married the former Lillie Parker Oct 23, 1966 in Senath.  She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Melvin Arnold of Connecticut and Raymond Arnold of Phoenix, 
Ariz.; a sister, Carrie Matthews of Fredericktown; nine step-children, five grandchildren; and two 
great-grandchildren, and nine step-children.

Preceding Mr. Arnold in death were his parents and a son, Clancy.  Mr. Arnold was a member of 
New Hope Church of Roselle.
