Covington, Dale Sr.
Dale F. Covington Sr., 68, of Potosi, died June 2 at Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital.  He was 
born Feb 28, 1918 in Fredericktown to the late George and Maude Hopkins Covington.  He was 
preceded in death by one daughter, Naomi Faith Bollinger.

He is survived by his wife, J. Valera Covington, of Potosi; one son, Dale Covington Jr., of White 
Bear Lake, Minn.; two brothers; Lee Covington and Burlyn Covington, both of Festus; one half-brother 
Ernie Hopkins, of Granite City, Ill., four sisters;  Edna Simmons and Helen Lancaster, both of 
Farmington, Mabel Keel and Ruth Mosier, both of Granite City, Ill., five grandchildren and three 
great-grandchildren.  

Friends may call today at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home in Potosi.  Friends may call 10 a.m. 
Thursday at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Festus where services will be held at 1 p.m. 
with Rev. Wayne Danner officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Garden in Festus.
