Francis, Cora Bell
Mrs. Cora Bell Francis of Route 1, Farmington, a native of Madison 
County, died Oct 26 at the Farmington Community Hospital.  She 
was 77, a daughter of the late John L. Simmons and Mary Berry 
Simmons.

Chapel services were held at the Cozean Funeral Home on Tuesday 
of this week at 2 p.m. Rev. J. W. Allen and Rev. Huffman officiated.  
Interment was in Parkview Cemetery.

On March 22, 1912 she was married to Mont Francis and five children 
were born of the marriage.

Surviving are: her husband Mont Francis of Route 1, Farmington; four 
children, Virginia (Mrs. LeeRoy Albaugh) of Festus, Silas E. Francis 
of Wheaton, Ill, Noah E. Francis of Cahokia, Ill., and Lee L. Francis of 
Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Two sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Richard Francis) of Fredericktown and Delia 
(Mrs. Fred McKinnon) of Dixon; and five brothers, Eijah Simmons of Esther, 
Arthur Simmons of St. Louis, Floyd Simmons, of Desloge, Lloyd Simmons 
of Fredericktown and Arley Simmons of Farmington.
