Hawn, Elgin Alexander - 1980
Elgin Alexander Hawn of Fredericktown died Tuesday, 
January 29 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.  He 
was 69.  

Chapel services were held Friday, February 1 at the 
Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Pogue 
officiating.  Burial was in Christian Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Mr. Hawn's grandsons, Gary Darrell 
and Mike Huffman, Kevin, Keith and Kelly Mouser and 
Eddie and Brad Kesterson.  

Mr. Hawn, a retired star route mail carrier, was born 
July 28 1910 in Saco to the late R. Lee and Oma 
DeSpain Hawn.  He married the former Myrtle Hovis 
August 25, 1934 in Fredericktown.  She survives.  

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James 
(June) Huffman of Troy and Mrs. Richard (Lois) Kesterson 
of Franklin Ill.; a brother Marvin Hawn of Fredericktown; 
a sister, Mrs. Carl (Minnie) Reimler of Marquand; 
10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces 
and nephews.  

Mr. Hawn was a member of the National Star Route Mail 
Carriers Assn. and the Big Creek Missionary Baptist 
Church in Buckhorn.  

Preceding Mr. Hawn in death were his parents and three 
brothers, Craig Hawn, B.D. Hawn and infant brother.
