Mildred R. Jones

Mildred R. Jones, 90, of Fredericktown died December 2, 2003 at 
Country Meadows Nursing Home in Park Hills.

She was born April 5, 1913 in Madison County, a daughter of James 
and Jannie (Ray) Byers.
On December 25, 1932, in Fredericktown, she was married to Owen T. 
Jones who preceded her in death in January, 1983.

Surviving Mrs. Jones are one son, Owen Ray Jones of Park Hills; and 
two daughters, Betty Smith of Des Arc and Mary Ann Schrader of St. 
Charles. She had eight grandchildren several great-grandchildren and 
two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Jolly Neighbors Community Club in the 
Underwood Community and enjoyed working in the garden, sewing 
and quilting. She was a member of Higdon Christian Church.

Services were held December 4, 2003 at Wilson Funeral Home with 
Reverend Mark Smith officiating. Pallbearers were Owen Ray Jones,
Kevin Miller, Doug Smith, Ethan Smith, Tom Smith, and Sarah Reites. 
Burial was at Higdon Christian Cemetery in Madison County.
