Blanche Matthews

Blanche Matthews, 83, of Guin, Alabama died December 4, 2003 at the 
Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin. She was born February 4, 1920
 in Mine La Motte, Missouri, a daughter of the late James and Eva (Henson) 
Huffman.

Mrs. Matthews was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, 
Judith; and three brothers, Raymond, Homer and Richard Huffman.

Surviving Mrs. Matthews are her husband, Reverend Woodrow Matthews 
of Guin, Alabama; two sons, Garry Matthews of Kirksville, Missouri and 
David Matthews of Guin, Alabama; three sisters, Alta Matthews and Joyce 
Lunsford both of Fredericktown, Missouri, Annie Rebella of Nevis, Minnesota; 
and two brothers, Truman Huffman and Vernon Huffman both of Fredericktown 
and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Matthews had lived in Guin since 1973. She was a member of Barnesville 
Free Will Baptist Church and a faithful Pastor's Wife for 60 years.

Services were held December 7, 2003 at Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in 
Guin, Alabama with Brother Scott Stokes, Brother Jeff Fleming and Brother 
Mike Beckon officiating. Burial was at Guin City Cemetery.
