Hazel Moyers

Hazel Moyers, 94, of French Village died December 6, 2003 at the 
home of her daughter, Dorothy Painter. She was born March 27, 1909, 
in Mine La Motte, a daughter of Hansford and Carrie (Mills) Ellison.

On March 11, 1930, in St. Louis, she was married to Earl P. Moyers 
who preceded her in death in 1978. Mrs. Moyers was also preceded 
in death by two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Moyers is survived by one son, Chester 'Bud' Moyers of Dallas, 
Texas; one daughter, Dorothy Painter of French Village; and one sister, 
Anna Lee Porter of French Village.She had one grandson, six granddaughters 
and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moyers was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, canning and gardening. 
Most of all she loved reading her bible. She worked for Madison Medical 
Center for 15 years and was a member of the Franklin Street Church of Christ
 in Fredericktown.

Graveside services, under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, were held 
December 9, 2003 at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown with 
Chet "Bud" Moyers officiating.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2003 
at the Franklin Street Church of Christ in Fredericktown.
