Thurston, Martha Ellen
Martha Ellen Thurston, Farmington, was born January 16, 1888 and died five days 
after her 89th birthday.  She was born in Oats, Mo. to William Kay and Martha Hulsey Kay.  

In 1906 she married Harry Algiere who died September 27, 1948.  She later married 
Guy Thurston in 1970 who survives along with her two sons, Roy Algiere of Tucson, Ariz. 
and Fred Algiere, Mineral Point, and a daughter, Marian (Mrs. Ralph) Wright of Bunker; 
two nieces who were reared in her home.  Betty Bodimer Rock of Dallas, Texas and 
Elma Bodimer Braswell, Sikeston; a brother, Lon Bodimer of Potosi; a sister, Louise 
Meese, Potosi; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-
grandchildren.  

Her first husband and son, Ernest, preceded her in death.  

Funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Boyer Funeral Home chapel 
with Rev. Don Stanley officiating.  Burial was the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery, 
Caledonia Mo.
