WALKER, EVELYN 

Evelyn Marie Walker, 71, of Fredericktown, died Monday, October 6, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in 
Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 26, 1932 in Scotts Hill, Tennessee, a daughter of Lester E. and Nannie (Gurley) Scott.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ovie Scott, Euda Peirce, Edna Mullins and 
Birdy Mount.

She was married to Freeman F. Walker of East St. Louis, Illinois on May 26, 1959 at the Church of the 
Nazarene.
Surviving Mrs. Walker are one son, Ronnie L. Walker of Fredericktown; five brothers, Marvin Scott, Roy 
Scott, Ellis Scott all of Poplar Bluff and Ruben Scott and Elco Scott both of Jackson, Tennessee; one sister, 
Thelma Scott of Kennett, Missouri.  Mrs. Walker had two grandchildren.

She was a member of Intercontinental Church of God. Mrs. Walker enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending 
time with family.

Services were held October 11, 2003 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home with Chaplain James Walker 
officiating. Burial was at Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Pallbearers were William Hennen, William Hennen Jr., Jim Smith, Bob Walker and Jerry Barbee.
