Lucy Helen Whelen

Lucy Helen (Knott) Whelen, 88, of Fredericktown died December 6, 2003 
at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown.

She was born September 22, 1915 in Fredericktown, a daughter of George 
and Ellen (Burns) Knott. On November 14, 1936, she was married to Pat 
Whelen of Elvins, Missouri at Fredericktown.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Pat Whelen; three
brothers, John, Earl and Earnie; and six siblings in infancy.

Surviving Mrs. Whelen are one son, James Whelen of Fredericktown; 
one grandson, Scott Whelen and one great-granddaughter.  Mrs. Whelen 
had three nieces and one nephew.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church.

Services were held December 8, 2003 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home 
with Reverend Randy Miller officiating. Burial was at the Christian Cemetery.
